Football Player Aaron Ramsey Boosts Reward for Lost Pet in Mexico to £15k
Welsh soccer player Aaron Ramsey has raised the incentive for leads about the lost canine Halo to £15k.
The former Premier League club Arsenal and Cardiff City player, who currently is with the Mexican club Pumas in the capital, revealed that Halo was observed in a Mexican town, located in the Guanajuato state zone.
Halo, who vanished on 9 October, was equipped with a tracking device, and Ramsey published a map pinpoint of the spot she vanished from.
"Any updates about our beloved Halo please get in touch with us. Significant reward for locating her. We are all hoping she's ok and comes home to our side quickly," Ramsey posted on Instagram.
Earlier Offer and Heartfelt Pleas
The footballer first announced that Halo had vanished a fortnight back and has since posted several photos of the cherished canine on Instagram.
A $ten thousand dollar incentive was first provided, but with no news on the dog's status after a seven days, Ramsey and his family doubled the amount.
"Our only wish is our girl returned," he stated in another request on social media after the 10-year-old pet was lost.
A recent image post is a monochrome snapshot of Halo sleeping, its head lying in the curve of the athlete's elbow, with the message: "How I wish to cuddle you once more Halo."
Family's Concerns and Context
The footballer has also posted a statement from his spouse Mrs. Ramsey on social media mentioning they have several "important questions" regarding the event and worry the household "may never get clarity".
"To this day we haven't found our dog. It is unlikely we will," the spouse's message expressed.
The Wales captain joined Mexican top-flight club Pumas UNAM recently and made his debut in Liga MX in August.
The Caerphilly-born player is the first high profile UK athlete to compete in the Mexico's top division.
