Vinicius Jr Extends Sincere Sorry to Real Madrid Fans

Vinicius Jr in action

Vinicius Jr has netted 5 finishes in ten domestic competition matches during the current campaign.

The Madrid giants forward Vinicius Jr has apologised to fans for his reaction when substituted in Sunday's heated Clasico clash triumph.

Vinicius was substituted in the second half and expressed his disappointment by heading directly down the tunnel.

He eventually reappeared to the sidelines and, after his club's narrow triumph, tried to confront Barcelona's youngster Yamal during unsavoury post-match scenes.

"This day I want to apologise to all the supporters for my reaction when I was replaced in the Clasico," he posted on X.

"In the same way as I have already done during the latest training, I wish to express regret anew to my teammates, the team, and the president.

"At times fervor takes over me because I constantly desire to triumph and help my club. My winning mentality comes from the affection I have for this team and each thing it represents."

He signed for Madrid from Flamengo in the year 2018 for £38.7m and has scored 111 goals in more than 300 games.

But his career in the La Liga is far from certain with reports in lately stating that the club would contemplate allowing the 25-year-old depart if they were to receive a appropriate bid.

When the winger was taken off on the match day, cameras from coverage provider Dazn recorded him remarking: "Always me! I'm leaving the team! It's preferable if I depart, I'm leaving."

In his latest post on social media, the athlete stated: "I promise to keep fighting constantly for the good of the club, as I have performed since the initial arrival."
